The moment that all fine food producers eagerly await with anxious anticipation each year –
the announcement of the winners in this “epicurean equivalent of the Booker prize” – is finally upon us for 2009….
We are immensely proud & delighted to announce that Lovespoon‘s Honeycomb Gelato has won a Gold Award – a superb achievement made all the more immense considering this is only our first year in business (plus we are the only producers in Wales to have won anything in the Ice Creams & Sorbets categories).
Sincere thanks to all those who have helped & supported us throughout what has been a challenging but rewarding year: we couldn’t have done it without you.
Many many congratulations on your FANTASTIC achievement.
S4C—put that in your pipe and smoke it!!
Brilliant. Well done!
They’ll have to interview us now….!

sorry Jo, only just caught up (damned WORK!)… just wanted to belatedly offer my congratulations. WOW, what an achievement! Hope you’re still chuffed to bits. Hope to sample some of your produce someday soon!!!!!!!!!!
Well done to you both for your hard work and innovative skills. I remember my visit to your farm when you were starting out and you have come a long way very quickly. Congratulations and best wishes, David.
That is amazing news! I’m really happy for you both and all your girls, it just goes to show what dreams can turn into.
How are the shows going, Jo? It must be coming to the end of the season soon?
Hope you’re all ok.
Katie
Phew, my goodness!
Thanks, sincerely, for everyone’s wonderful & much-appreciated, good wishes; we’ve had such an exciting but turbulent year so far….yes the whirligig of summer shows is coming to an end – & they’ve kept us very, very busy (of which more in my ‘Tomato Catchup’ archive posts) – but then comes “Ding-ding – Round Two!” as we have the autumn Food Festivals upon hot on the heels of which, follow the Winter Shows & Trade Fairs.
There are just never enough hours in a day…!!
But whilst there have been all sorts of ups-&-downs, here – oh, my goodness – we still keep on, keeping on…. give me a minute to take a breath, & I promise I’ll tell you all about it.

The last Great Taste Awards magazine I received was in 2007. I made contact with a Charlie and Elaine through Great Taste Awards and asked that the 2008 Awards magazine be sent to me (gave address etc). Going through my papers today I discovered the 2007 and would very much like to have the 2008 magazine and the 2009 magazine if it is out now.
I received the 2007 magazine Graet Taste Awards and requested the 2008, but never received it.
I spoke to a Charlie and an Elaine and they both took all my details. Would love to receive the 2008 magazine and the 2009 one if it is in print.
“Hi Evelyn,
I managed to get hold of a copy of last year’s magazine at our local Farmers’ Market at the weekend; & I beleive the new magazine is due to be published at the end of the month. It is usually included as a supplement to ‘Delicious’ magazine, so hopefully you’ll be able to get a copy in the October or November edition. Keep an eye out for it – I certainly shall! And look out for Lovespoon….”
Hey you busy gal!
Did you get a chance to make the chocolate/peanut butter dream yet? I know, I know, in your spare time eh. Looking forward to hearing about how it turns out and hopefully at least delighting the eyes with a photo!
Hope you and Tony are well,
HDR
How’s it going, Jo? Hope everything’s ok.
Best wishes
Katie
