Winter Gloom….?

Kids enjoying the sunshine whilst sniffing the daffodils!

Not today.

In fact with kidding & lambing in full swing, as Wolfie’s daughter Aeronwy (Ronnie – not because she makes me laugh in a ‘Bring Me Sunshine’ sort-of-a-way, but more because – like her Mum – she reminds me of one of the Kray Twins) giving birth to a bouncing baby boy; & Zuskie’s daughter Arwenna popping out a tiny little girl during the night (incredibly, even smaller than Elf!!), & the weather positively balmy, it certainly feels like Spring is on the way at last.

And several days of increasingly glorious weather along with the daffodils nodding cheerfully at the top of the drive, catkins shimmering on the hazel bushes, fat pale green buds pouting on the wild rose & jelly-bobbles of frogspawn floating in the pond, there’s a certain ‘something’ stirring in the air which lifts the heart along with the lightness of the warm breeze.

Top that off with a simply stunning sunset….& I’m sure it’s the colour of Spring.

  1. Well it’s good to know the ends of the spectrum have been defined!!

Your sunset photos are stunning. My “season” for sunset tends to be the autumn. For some reason, my photos never come out well at other times of the year.

  2. LittleFfarm Dairy says:

    “I was really lucky.

Usually when I see a sunset like that I spend a few too many seconds, gawping; & by the time I’ve grabbed the camera, it’s all gone.

I’m sure people won’t believe it’s ‘real’ when they see it; but it is – those are ‘as-it-happened’ shots.

What with that & the previous morning’s breakfast, I had a good couple of days!”
