But alas, the boards aren’t shrinking here;
in fact if anything the rain is bursting the banks of the rivers, & seeping into the timbers of the new Dairy, swelling the woodwork until I swear the building looks botoxed. It’s been a quiet day, here on the Ffarm; scuttling between showers to get the chores done. Tony’s been thinking about the automatic drinkers we need to fit in the new Dairy Complex: finding something that’s goat-proof is always a challenge! And I’ve been working with a local draughtsman on an ’emergency’ job as we urgently need some different-sized lid labels; otherwise we’ll never be able to get them in time from our design team in Pembrokeshire, thus we’ve had to get a temporary ‘fix’ from a friend in the neighbouring village. We have to drop some pots off in Cardiff tomorrow so the deadline is pretty tight; & we still don’t have our freezer vehicle….
….at this rate however we may as well fit it out with oars & a mast, the way this weather is going!
